Dear Rookie,

In your new job, if you know you’ll be working with someone, don’t wait for the kickoff meeting to say hi.

Shoot them a quick message, grab a coffee, or chat about something non-work. Finding common ground – dogs, sports, books, bad bosses – makes everything smoother when the real work starts.

Because trust me, that first meeting is way less awkward when you’re not just “the person from the email.”

Speaking of intros… I’ve got one to make soon. Stay tuned.
